The fuel switches could not have been switched to ‘off’ inadvertently.
it’s now clear what happened to the Air India crash of a 787 last month: it had nothing to do with the aircraft

This captain (who is he – experience on aircraft types, et al ????, along with his “aircraft accident investigation skills and ability”) sharing his analysis and opinions ……… sounds plausible.
Is he suggesting this Air India tragedy, like the Germanwings Flight 9525 (4U9525), a scheduled international passenger flight from Barcelona–El Prat Airport in Spain to Düsseldorf Airport in Germany, it is about pilot intention. Well, possible, though is this too early to be forthright.
Perhaps a bit soon to be drawing too ………. his shared analysis and options. Let the investigation progress to conclusion, before getting caught in the hype of emotional response, just like on which the media feed.
A tragedy, just like any aircraft accident, though let the investigation, by those qualified in aircraft accident investigations – the manufacturers of the airframe and engines, the controlling authority (in this case India), ICAO, the yanks (who are in everything that moves), et al – conclude their investigation according to international aircraft investigation standards and protocol.
Pilots should focus on flying planes according to standard operating procedures and related safety, and leave the accident investigations to the specialists.
B777 Captain, retired
He flies for a major American airline, but doesn’t specify which. He’s not the only pilot who produces similar incident analyses; there are several similar pilot YouTube channels.
