The January LA fires story has disappeared from NZ media consciousness, but is still a big one in Southern California. Reports from insurance adjustors who have inspected the wreckage say that that there is a lot of contamination from toxic chemicals and heavy metals like lead caused by EV batteries in cars that were incinerated and in many cases houses which survived the fires had their interiors made unlivable by smoke containing these; they need to be completely gutted inside (a bit like houses that have had clandestine meth labs).

Industrial hygienists have had to be employed: these are people who spend a few hours taking samples at the sites in walls and then have these samples analysed for the degree of contamination. California’s Democrat rulers have long demanded people buy EVs and there are a lot of them.
