Were sent to the bottom of the Black Sea, when a Russian submarine of the Black Sea fleet sank a merchant ship, under a NATO member‘s flag, registered as civilian, on the night of July 25-26, that was following the grain route heading for the Danube mouth, disguised as civilian cargo.

Fishermen who witnessed the attack, described it as “sunshine at night in the middle of the sea”

The Russian MoD has confirmed the incident, although an obviously embarrassed NATO has not commented on it and there have been no protests about the sinking of a supposed “civilian cargo ship”.

NB:-

● The attack on the cargo ship is believe to have been carried out by a Russian submarine of the 636.3 class “Varshavyanka”, nicknamed “Black Hole” by the US Navy for its effective stealth capability during missions.

● The 60 tanks on the ship are reported to have been those donated by Australia.
