5 dead oystercatchers and lots of dead crabs on Motueka Sandspit were seen yesterday evening, downstream from the Kahurangi 1080 poison drop.

We have asked DOC and MPI to test them for 1080 but so far no indication they have.

No doubt TVI News and Stuff will claim they died from bird flu.
