On your marks, get set, go. The Kāpiti Half Marathon presented by Howard & Co Realty and Voyle & Co Realty is racing our way next weekend.
Organisers say entrants can wind their way through beautiful river trails, lake loops and boardwalks of the Kāpiti Coast on Sunday 9 November. With race options for the 21-kilometre half marathon, 10-kilometre, 5-kilometre or 2-kilometre Kids Kick It options, there’s a race for the whole family. All courses are suitable for buggies, walkers and wheelchair athletes.
Last year 675 Athletes of all shapes, sizes, ages, and abilities stepped up to the starting line and all indications suggest this year’s event will attract even more so this is a chance to be part of one of the biggest participant events of the year.

Ceinwen Howard of Howard&Co says the Andco group, represented here by Howard&Co and Voyle&Co, are very pleased to sponsor the Kāpiti Half Marathon.
“This is our second year sponsoring the Kāpiti Half event which is wonderful for Kāpiti and the participants come here from far and wide. It’s also great for our local economy as entrants get to enjoy our local businesses.”
Ceinwen says it is expected there will be plenty of entries as the event caters for all ages and levels of ability. “There will also be large numbers of spectators. We are passionate about promoting Kāpiti and encouraging active participation and this event does that very well. Kāpiti is a growth area and we are attracting a wide range of people who want to visit, and to live here.”
Ceinwen says there will be a number of improvements from last year. “Congestion was an issue and there will be less this year. The weather is also expected to be fine, which helps.”
