This isn’t about security anymore, it’s about control, compliance, and surveillance baked into everyday tech. Convenience was the bait. Dependence is the trap.
We’re not entering a golden age of technology.
We’re sliding into the digital dark ages.
I refuse to download banking aps. I’d rather rhe hassle of having to use the bank’s call centre or branch for the things they won’t let me do on their website banking on my computer. If that changes to my detriment I’ll go completely cash only.
