While people in NZ enjoy summer and TV1 News delightedly reports on hot temperatures in Australia, in Europe it’s the opposite and thanks to the EU’s Russophobia and the absence of its cheap natural gas, power cuts are happening — and when the power is on, it’s a lot more expensive than it used to be.

DE BILT (ANP) – Code orange is in effect in Friesland, Groningen, Drenthe, and the Wadden Islands from midnight due to snow and strong winds, the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) reported Thursday. The weather warning will expire at noon. Code yellow will then be in effect in the north.
