Being built now and due to be opened in about 6 months time, it will produce 50 million gallons (about 190 million litres) of water per day and will provide 7% of the potable water needs for the San Diego region.

It both makes you realise how lucky you are on the Kapiti Coast, and yet how much the KCDC has its priorities seriously awry.
