A reader has pointed this out; the KCDC decided on Thursday to spend the money on a ‘wings and wheels’ event instead.

Cancelling the subsidy for the former was one of the proposals mentioned in the Long Term Plan consultation brochure earlier this year and we agreed; it is a commercial event and ‘sustainable’ has become a general buzzword to make anything sound better these days.

But Wings and Wheels instead?  Clearly, Mr Dougherty isn’t serious about saving money.
