Southwards Car Museum in Otaihanga are having a event called ‘Leading the Charge’ on electric cars this Thursday between 5 and 7 pm.
According to their statement:
“Meet us at the Southward Car Museum, as we travel from Cape Reinga to Bluff in an array of electric cars. Kapiti Coast Mayor will officiate.
“If you have never seen an electric car before, now is the time.
“Ask us questions, look at the cars, sit in the cars, and simply marvel at what technology has created!

“Only $10 a ticket.”
In fact there is nothing new about electric cars, they were around a century ago: below is an ad by the Wellington agent for the Detroit Electric car. The big problem with anything battery powered has always been the power output and durability of the battery.
