According to the KCDC:-
“Our friends at M2PP are turning on the traffic lights at the Kāpiti Road [Paraparaumu] and Te Moana Road interchanges tomorrow to get things ready for when the Expressway opens later this month. Lights will flash amber for 24 hours and then operate as normal (red, amber, and green). Please apply the give way rule if the lights are flashing amber. It will take time for people to get used to the new set up so please take care when driving through the interchanges.”
The current traffic light phasing here is out of sync resulting in unnecessary delays for the Main Rd users Also why was it necessary to reduce 2 lanes down to one lane heading north?
