Although we’re not into commercial promos like Destination Waikanae, our vote for Waikanae’s best bakery is the Olde Beach in Ono Street (see earlier).  It’s not a big shop — four in the customer service area will fill it — but it has a garden area for the café just outside a side door.

From the ‘Ewy’, it’s less than 1 km: head west along Te Moana Road, then the next right into Ono Street after Rauparaha Street peels off.
