The mostly tree-lined Manu Grove is one of the nicest streets in Waikanae and properties on the west side of it adjoin the Nga Manu bird sanctuary (manu means bird).  The garden of 39 Manu Grove is one of the best, not just in Waikanae, but in the country (see a post from January 2016).

These particular trees and bushes are mostly exotic, but there is a totara in the middle of this view.
