In the 2011 election about 15% of voters cast ballots before polling day; it increased to 30% in 2014.  This time it’s expected that about half the electorate will do so.

For those yet to make up their minds, below are the policies on their websites of the main parties which have a reasonable chance of getting at least one MP.

Under the electoral system, if they win a constituency seat they also qualify for list seats in proportion to their party vote — the seat(s) they win is counted as one of these.  Otherwise, they need to get at least 5% of the overall vote to get seats.
