Waikanae’s club has 150 plus junior players registered. The junior grade consists of 9 teams ranging from Nursery up to U13s.
It is a family friendly club which is coming up on its 100th year since forming. It has fantastic playing grounds at the Waikanae Park, a clubhouse and a great bunch of coaches and volunteers, who are committed to ensuring young players enjoy their time playing junior rugby and grow in skill level and in confidence.
It is affliated to the Horowhenua – Kapiti Rugby Union, which is celebrating 125 years this year.
The premier men’s team are also the current Horowhenua Champions of the Ramsbottom cup.
The U13 Waikanae Chiefs team are thrilled to be part of the Taupo Rugby Festival in September and are really looking forward to meeting clubs from all parts of New Zealand.
