Waimanu Lagoon vue

This was announced on today’s GWRC-organised Waikanae River walkover.

Separate care groups have existed for several years for the Waikanae River and the Waikanae Estuary Scientific Reserve.  Their main tasks are planting new or replacement native shrubs/trees and weeding.  We assume that cleaning up rubbish and dog droppings is (unfortunately) needed, too.

Those interested in doing practical things to enhance the lagoons experience were told to show up at the Barrett Drive bus stop next Sunday at 2 pm.
