Yes, you read right. According to the Parliament website:

In response to the Christchurch terrorist attacks the Government will be introducing a Bill to amend New Zealand’s gun laws.

To watch the first reading of the bill, tune in after Question Time today Tuesday, 2 April

Is a Bill introduced with only 2 days to make submissions on it (yes, you read that right) likely to be good law?  Hardly.  All it will likely do is criminalize a large number of law-abiding citizens and cost up to $300 million of taxpayers money according to Jacinda’s deputy PM Winston Peters when interviewed today on TV One. Groan.

You only have until 6 pm on Thursday to make your submission

The text of the Bill is here
