Annual Plan 2019-2020
A guide and information on ways to comment are on the Council’s website here and in its libraries and service centres.
The Mayor says the draft plan doesn’t propose any significant changes to what is set out in the District’s Toitū Kapiti Long Term Plan 2018-38 and sees a planned average rates increase of 4.8%.
Rates are set each year as part of adopting the plan, which Council will do at its 23 May meeting — although it would be a surprise if it’s different to that 4.8%.
Arts Trail 2019
The first two weeks of November are earmarked for this.
Visitor information for those who come to Waikanae
The library has traditionally been the provider of this, but the Support Hub is now listed as a source of it, too. At a Destination Waikanae annual meeting a year or so back the proposal for an info signboard at the station for those who arrive on trains in the weekends/public holidays was made, but didn’t progress any further; or so it seems: we’re told there will be an area map installed at the station which may have some info on visitor activities.
