One of the things we liked to do during Lockdown was becoming armchair travellers by going to video sharing sites and looking at commentary-less extended recordings of travelling through foreign cities, as well as along roads and railway lines as if you were in the driver’s cab.

It seems that many foreign travel opportunities next year may be confined to this, too.

This is an example of a cab ride on the 467 km Trondheim to Bodø railway in Norway, a 10 hour trip. Geoffrey and Eva have done for it real three times, albeit in summer — at this time of year it is all in snow. Bodø is a long way short of the North Pole, but above the Arctic Circle.

We’ll post a few more virtual travel videos like this in the coming days.
