This is one of about 125 notable trees listed by the KCDC on its Heritage schedule, but given its location about 100 metres southwest of the roadside at 208 Te Moana Rd and about the same distance northwest of the frontage at 8 Greenaway Rd, it’s probable that not many are aware of it.
