They’ll lock Hillary Clinton up yet.
The same media who are still refusing to tell their audience the plain truth about Hunter Biden’s laptop would also have us believe that they ain’t got nuthin’, nuthin’, see? on Hillary Clinton. Whatever you do, don’t believe any o’ that there Russian disinformation about, um, Russian disinformation.
Most especially take no notice of the fact that the Clinton campaign and the Democrats have been fined for lying about it all.
The Federal Election Commission earlier this month fined Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee for failing to properly report funding on opposition research into the 2017 Steele dossier, which examined former President Donald Trump‘s alleged links to Russia.
In a letter sent by the FEC to both parties on Tuesday, the agency said the Clinton campaign and the DNC improperly reported the money they spent funding the dossier, labeling the spending as “legal services,” and “legal and compliance consulting” instead of opposition research […]
The FEC fined the Clinton campaign $8,000 and the DNC $105,000 for the misconduct, the letter said.
In case you were wondering, yes, the Hillary Clinton election campaign is still very much a thing.
Clinton’s campaign is still technically in operation with more than $181,000 cash on hand, according to a January 2022 filing — more than enough to pay the FEC fine.
The dossier was, remember, almost the sole basis for the Big Lie of “Russian collusion”: a lie that the Democrats and their media bootlickers knowingly peddled for years.
The infamous dossier in question was prepared by former UK intelligence officer Christopher Steele and included a trove of prurient but unverified claims regarding the alleged relationship between Trump and members of the Russian intelligence community, as well as assertions that his campaign colluded with the Kremlin in the 2016 election.
While a few allegations were corroborated (which Insider‘s Sonam Sheth broke down), much of the information within the document has since been refuted.
The most explosive allegations, from the silly (the non-existent “pee tape”) to the venal (that Trump colluded with Putin to weaken NATO involvement in Ukraine) have all been disproved.
Significantly, the FEC has ignored the smaller fish — Steele himself, and the third-party bag-men — and gone straight for Clinton and the DNC.
Meanwhile, the Durham probe proceeds slowly but surely, and the first charges have already been laid.
Federal agents arrested the primary sub-source who contributed to the unverified anti-Trump dossier Thursday as part of Special Counsel John Durham’s investigations into the origins of the probe into whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to influence the 2016 presidential election […]
Igor Danchenko is believed to be the sub-source for former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele, who compiled the dossier that served as the basis for Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants against Trump campaign aide Carter Page. The dossier was funded by the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign through law firm Perkins Coie.
So, we know that the dossier was fake, we know that Clinton and the DNC paid for it, and we know that Trump was right when he said that he and his campaign was being spied on by the incumbent administration.
Most importantly, we know that the only people colluding with Russian nationals were Clinton and the DNC.
And there’s still the criminal investigation into Hunter Biden’s business dealings ongoing.
When Ted Cruz said that this was all going to become “bigger than Watergate”, he wasn’t just whistlin’ Dixie.
