Ordinary Kiwisaid:
Being allowed to vote in elections gives “the masses” the illusion that they are choosing people who will effectively represent them in the government.
It is not true.
Voters fail to realize that who they are allowed to vote for has been decided by the small minority of influential members and funders of the main political parties.
There is a small group of party members in each electorate who regularly attend and participate in their secretive monthly meetings to further their ambition to win the next election and attain political power over the rest of the people.
These omnipotent moral busybodies determine the culture, ambitions and agendas of the party and who will represent them in THEIR GOVERNMENT.
The elected politicians create more rules, regulations and bureaucracy to impose control and dependency on the rest of the people who are also forced to pay for it all.
Who are these people who decide who serves them in the government?
You can only find out by joining National or Labour, finding out where and when they secretly meet and fronting up.
If you do this you could also begin to have some input and influence and also encourage others like you to do the same so that you can have some people in the government that serve you as well.
The MMP system that was supposed to enable more people to be represented in government was a complete deception.
It encourages people who might join, participate and influence the culture, policies and politicians of the National and Labour parties to stay away and form new little parties that do not achieve anything.
It also enables the National and Labour party elites to appoint more of their chosen representatives that no-one voted for in elections.
Democracy is government by the people but only for the people that are active and influential in choosing, supporting and promoting who the rest are allowed to vote for.
What an apt quote for this current government. It’s all very cleverly if deviously done by Jacinda Ardern and her sycophantic cabinet. Te one freaky aspect is how many think she’s doing a good job. I hope they wake up before election 2023.
Here’s another quote that fits this NZ government – “The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.” C Mencken, 1920.
