from Ani O’Brien
What I witnessed in Albert Park in Auckland was truly devastating for free speech in New Zealand.
The reason I joined the Free Speech Union was because I firmly believe that no matter the topic, we should disagree freely and without violence. Yesterday, I realised that we have a much bigger task in front of us than I thought because Kiwis are already choosing violence and being celebrated for it.
When I arrived at the Let Women Speak event, I was pleased to see that the growing protest crowd was loud, but contained and separate from the event attendees.
We expected noise from the protestors and they certainly delivered, but I did not expect the violence I witnessed.
No sooner had Kellie-Jay Keen Minshull arrived at the Rotunda, a protestor (who had managed to get past the barrier) ran at her and threw a red substance all over her and a security guard. As she attempted to clean up, the protestors pushed over, crushed, and dismantled the barriers and swarmed around her.
At this point, I was caught in the angry crowd. I had whistles blown in my face, abuse screamed at me, and I was fearful for my own safety. This was nothing compared to what Kellie-Jay endured. She was trapped and surrounded by a mob screaming abuse and trying to get past her security guards.
There were no police in sight. Despite widely publicised threats of violence [by Leftists], the police were nowhere near the protest frontlines to prevent the event from devolving into chaos as it did.
I had to call the police from the middle of the screaming crowd! And even then they weren’t particularly concerned that a woman was trapped in the midst of a mob determined to get to her [what orders did Coster give his troops — “We’re only there to attack opponents of this government, otherwise we don’t give a Stuff”? —Eds].
I have never been more concerned about our country. Free speech is completely dead when the angriest and loudest activists are allowed to decide who gets to speak and listen.
Where does this end? Will the activist groups provide us with a list of approved topics and speakers?
If we don’t get this sorted and can’t rely on the police, someone could very well end up dead. This is serious and we cannot sit back and watch violence become the norm.
Jonathan and the team are already working on a plan to respond to these outrageous events. You will hear from him with next steps. I just wanted to update you about what I saw. I’m horrified and quite gutted for us all as New Zealanders.
Sorry to be the bearer of such bad news, but this is not the end of the story — together we’re going to turn this around for the basic freedoms that enable our democratic society.
These events are appalling, and an embarrassment to NEW ZEALAND.
This reminds me of the Springbok Tour of 1981 – for those of you who were not alive during those months of turmoil (a turmoil over the game of rugby, and political ideology) do some research.
Those were the days where families and mates, as a few, were split and divided. Covid, over the past three years, has to some extent done the same thing – divided OUR COUNTRY (thanks to the bitch-evil-woman, and her lackeys). And, now we have division again in OUR COUNTRY, over FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
This is getting out of hand, obviously. The leftist movement has influenced the politicians, the police, and what seems to be a large portion of our NEW ZEALAND populace.
It is time for us to TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY, NEW ZEALAND.
It is time to stand up, and say “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH”.
If the wokeness being experienced in NZ (and throughout the western world) and, allowed (encouraged ??) by the politicians and those who think they have influence over our lives; matters do not look good for the majority.
The real challenge that needs to be “put out there” – and this applies to the sorrowful state of where NZ is headed – “why do we the majority, allow the minority, to call the shots over our lives” ??
Whether that be the Maori lot (yes, 16% of the population of NZ ………….. OH NO, correction, there are no true-blue-Maori alive – is that zero percent maori – and do not forget the maori lot are not indigenous to NZ; get the theme about the “so-called-maori” !!!); the “alphabet people”, or any other minority group that believe they have the right to impose their beliefs, ideology (or what ever else) over the majority in NZ.
Is it time that NZers, wake up to this absolute load of crock, and say “NO MORE”.
It is so simple …… we the majority have had enough of the minority dictating to the majority.
After all, we do live in a democratic country – well, hopefully our democratic country, NZ, still exists !!!
We all have the right to protect ourselves against violence. If that means beating the shit out of those who would attempt to stop public meetings etc then so be it…
Posie Parker won a famous victory yesterday. She showed all New Zealanders who the violent, hateful bigots in our society really are. How much longer will we continue to tolerate these low IQ woketards living among us?
She and the Event organisers certainly showed what a bunch of intolerant, violent bigots Leftists are, and in that regard it has hopefully ‘awoken’ more of the population to their and this government’s nature. It wasn’t a victory for Freedom of Speech, however.
Sounds like a real woman:
haven’t stopped crying since an hour ago. my balls still hurt so bad.
