That may sound an impressive figure for a medium-size town’s e-zine, and while it’s double what we got in 2020, it’s 48% down on what we got last year, which reflects the impact of being downranked in Google’s algorithms. Google do that to sites that oppose the Globalists’ agenda, including Biden/Blinken’s wars as well as criticism of Big Pharma and that substance.

There are other search engines apart from Google, but most people have yet to realise that.

However, add to the pageviews the e-mail subscriptions, WordPress followers, and our Twitter (X) and Facebook pages, and every post gets about 1,000 views, some a lot more.

The most viewed post in 2023 was on the magnitude of the Labour government’s inflationary squandering since 2020. The most viewed local post was on the NTZA’s plan to close southbound traffic over the old SH1 Waikanae River bridge during the first half of this year.

One curious feature of the stats this year was the appearance of “region unknown” hits which puzzled us, not having seen it before (below). We think it’s NATO wanting to see what opposition there is to the Biden administration’s war in Ukraine.

Overall the most popular posts are those on politics followed by health, then real estate. The least popular topics are arts, culture and sport. But we’ll have them regardless.
