There seems little to add to this: the lot was bought by KCDC to use during the Waikanae library redevelopment, but longer term there is no clear intention for it and our guess is it will be resold. There should be shade sails for traders but it’s uncertain it is that definite. Member Michelle Lewis asked at the WCB meeting that it be operating before Christmas and was told it will be. Sarah Yanez of the Waikanae Business Association is taking an active interest in it.
