From where shall the bellbird sing? / Kei ‘ea te Kōmako e kō?

This exhibition showcases the collaborative efforts of Atiawa ki Whakarongotai, the Department of Conservation, Greater Wellington Regional Council, and Kapiti Coast District Council in the Mahi mō te Taiao — Waikanae Jobs for Nature project.

The Jobs for Nature initiative aims to enhance ecological health and connection from the Maunga (mountain) to the Moana (ocean) and Kapiti Island. It supports the Waikanae ki Uta ki Tai (Waikanae Shore) initiative, and has been managed by Groundtruth, a local Kapiti company, working with Manawhenua and the community on land and conservation management.

The exhibition runs from 31 August to 8 December 2024 in Community Space | Waipuna Toi.
