According to statistics on the GWRC website, the 2024 total rainfall was 1196 mm (see above) and the 2023 total was 1213 mm, thus a 1.5% reduction. That 1200 mm is pretty close to the long-term average.

The maximum 24-hour rainfall recorded during 2024 was 66.8 mm on 27 August. The maximum in 2023 was 73.8 mm on 4 May.
