
Budding artists from the public were at work yesterday painting flowers and grasses on the wall of the building next to this pop-up container shopping spot on the Main Road. The little group of containers include one converted into a loo; the others contain mini shops. The triangular ‘roof’ pieces of fabric are there as ornaments and won’t offfer much protection against rain. There are also cables strung up containing light bulbs for dim weather.



How long this is meant to be in existance for is unclear, however, work on the Waikanae Library is meant to start later in the year and the proximity to the library construction was the reason given for the council buying the lot.
Better than the usual graffiti we see posing as art.
