Last night, Hamas, the terror group that has Gaza in an iron grip, showed once again what it stands for: murder and chaos. A bus carrying more than twenty Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) workers – local Palestinians who work with an American team to distribute food and aid – was brutally attacked around 10:00 pm Gaza time.
At least five aid workers were killed, others were injured, and it is feared that some have been taken hostage, the GHF said in an urgent statement. The attack took place while the bus was en route to a distribution point west of Khan Younis. Why this cowardly act? Simple: the GHF is sidelining Hamas. This new, American-Israeli-backed aid organization is circumventing the old system, in which Hamas held the reins and ‘distributed’ – read: stole – aid at will for its own gain. Now that control is slipping away, Hamas is reaching for the only weapon it knows: terror.
