I stumbled upon this pic on a fashion website (which I am an addict of) and saw it was described as “vegan leather.” I’m no supporter of vegan diets which are severely lacking in important nutrients people need, but this aroused my curiosity.
According to this website on the subject: “What is vegan leather? Vegan leather, also known as faux leather, or a leather alternative—is a leather-like fabric that isn’t made from the skin of animals. Instead, vegan leather is made from a variety of plastic and plant materials which I’ll explain in more detail later in this post.”
If the end products are compatible in looks, durability and price, there’s no apparent reason not to be in favour of them.
