It will be remembered the Jacinda government gave them $3 million in 2021.

Under Afghanistan’s new Taliban law:

A man may beat his wife and children – as long as he doesn’t break bones or leave open wounds.

If he seriously injures her, he faces up to 15 days in jail.

She must prove her injuries in court.
Fully covered.
In front of the man who beat her.

If she tries to escape to relatives, she can be jailed for three months.

Meanwhile:

Barbers are being arrested because beards must now be longer than a fist (no beard makes them look like a woman too much).

This is what happens when ideology replaces conscience.

Violence against the vulnerable becomes legal.
Appearance becomes regulated.

And the state calls it “virtue.”

Whether it’s elite networks shielding predators, institutions hiding abuse, or regimes openly legalizing it —

The pattern is the same:

Power protecting itself.

Justice is never the priority in systems built on control.

And here is the uncomfortable question:

Where is the global outrage here?

Is it fear of being labeled intolerant?
Fear of offending certain ideological sensitivities?

If your commitment to women’s rights, dignity, and equality depends on political comfort, it is not a commitment.

Human dignity must come before ideology.
