When we walked around Waikanae on the hot days last month we sometimes sat in bus stop shelters for a brief rest.  None of these were impressive structures and a few were rather shabby.

One of the things that could be done is to make them different and interesting: here are some pictures taken from the net of what has been done elsewhere.  Again this shouldn’t cost much. Even in other parts of the Wellington region, there are some examples of bus stop shelter art, and we’ll post some pictures soon.
