We received an invitation to the launch of this book this evening, which being in the U.S., we can’t attend. It looks to be an interesting book for those into performing arts.
1 thought on “new book on Kapiti dance legend Jon Trimmer”
Margaret Stevenson-Wrightsaid:
Thank you Sir Jon and your family of dance for the talent that has enriched our lives.
As you signed our copies last evening I shared an early lament that whilst I had danced the role of the ‘Rag Doll’ within the staging of the Toy Shop Ballet (Daniels/Brewer) at the Wellington Opera House – I had not made it to the role of ‘Sugar Plum Fairy’.
Your quick response that you had not in fact danced that role either – struck a characteristically delightful chord.
Recognition of your ‘ master of the dance’ contribution ‘ made within the cultural context of Hindu Trimurti by Mayor Gurunathan – was I think pitch perfect.
Roger and Sir Jon – your book will enable us to repeatedly celebrate the unique contribution made by each and every talent captured within it.
