Not in Waikanae, but not far south of the Waikanae Estuary.  This is the garden of retired Barrister, and 2016 KCDC districtwide candidate, Christopher Ruthe, who has managed to produce an impressive visual experience with careful shrub/tree placements and tending, and in the rather salt air laden atmosphere.  Despite being next to the beach, you can hear waves, but not see them: trees are more important.
