yellow SC-Shaylse Park to Park 2019

Park to Path is an all-ages timed 10 km, 6 km and kids 1 km run or walk. This is a fun morning out, showcasing some of the great parks and trails we have on the Kāpiti Coast. It’s not all about who’s the fastest – dress up and have a bit of fun on the day, too!

This is a free event – but the council is asking that you bring a food donation for the Kapiti Food Bank if you can.

After your walk or run, grab a coffee (remember your keep cup!) and something from the sausage sizzle (bring cash), before enjoying a complimentary massage onsite from the Functional Bodyworks team.

The council would like to make this event as accessible as possible. If your child would like to take part, but doesn’t like crowds or the pressure of walking or running with others, you’re welcome to come between 10.15 am-11.15 am, sign in and then do the route before receiving a finishers certificate and swim pass.

Every child who enters will receive a certificate and a complimentary swim pass to be used at either Coastlands Aquatic Centre, Waikanae Pool or Ōtaki pool.

Event details

  • 10am – 10 km run and walk starts

Note: If you want to do a bit of running and a bit of walking, please sign up for the run.

Note also that the council states the event will only take place in “Covid Level 1”, and not if Jacinda raises it to Level 2 again: fingers crossed that wont happen. —Eds
