Ian Bradford continues his series by looking at the United Nations (UN) role in the climate change movement. (The first article is here and the second is here)

The UN’s false claims about climate change

By Ian Bradford

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed and hence clamorous to be led to safety by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. –H.L. Mencken

The UN, through its mouthpiece the Inter-Governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) claims that humans, putting carbon dioxide (CO2), into the atmosphere, are causing global warming and large sea level rises and lately, floods, storms, tornadoes, droughts and so on.

In my previous articles I have tried to show that this is all one big lie.

The earth is warming very slowly but due to natural processes.  The warming is due to the fact that we are coming out of an ice age. Humans have a virtually no effect on climate compared with the natural processes.

Sea level rises are very small. The current rate only 1.8mm per year and that rate is decreasing. The figures show all disasters such as floods and so on are actually decreasing in frequency.

What is the UN’s agenda?

So the question arises what is the reason behind all this scam?

The real agenda has been admitted by senior IPCC officials and has nothing to do with climate. The UN wants to increase its power and wealth to have increasing control over people’s lives.  The climate issues are to frighten the populations of the world into committing huge funding to the UN.

The United Nations (UN), was formed after the Second World War in 1945. There are approximately 193 countries who are members.  Many developing nations banded together in 1964 to form the G77 group. This has now expanded to 131. This group – the majority, has enormous power. The aim of this group is to advance the goals and agenda of the developing world.

The elites of the UN are working towards what they call “sustainable development”. They want to limit the depletion of non-renewable resources to the lowest level necessary to sustain society. To do this means a reduction in the living standards of developed countries like New Zealand. These same elites want the power to control and enforce global standards of living.

A 1974 UN resolution blamed colonialism (where have we heard that before?!), and the western style capitalistic system for the cause of the impoverished state of many of the UN countries.  It went on to say most of the world’s resources were used by a relatively small number of the developed world and that the cost of these resources was too high for developing nations. The 1995 UN World Summit recommended the regulation of multinational corporations and proposed a wealth tax.

The UN also claims developed nations make trade and international agreements in their favour. They intend to change this at the expense of the developing nations, and shift the global economic scene in favour of developed nations. To do all this requires total control over the earth’s resources.

This would be difficult. That is why we have the gigantic fraud of global warming and huge sea level rises.  The UN is using scare tactics to say catastrophe will occur unless sustainable development is implemented. The global warming idea gives a catalyst to act. The anthropogenic (man-made) global warming theory is nothing more than a propaganda stunt. Manufacture the appearance of a crisis then present the public with a solution.

The Copenhagen Accord

The Copenhagen Climate Change Conference took place in December 2009. This conference raised climate change policy to the highest level.  It produced the Copenhagen Accord, which expressed clear political intent to constrain carbon and respond to climate change both in the short term and the long term. Other central elements included the following:

  • Developed countries promised to fund actions to reduce greenhouse emissions and to adapt to the inevitable effects of climate change in developing countries.
  • Developed countries, (that’s NZ again), promised to provide US $30 Billion for the period 2010-2012 and to mobilise long-term finance for a further US $100 Billion a year(!) by 2020 from various sources.

All this huge amount of money is going to fund a fraud.

Remember that most members of the UN come from developing countries. They stand to see massive investment in their countries if emission trading schemes are introduced.

The Copenhagen Treaty made it clear that humans are causing global warming and it is the wealthy Western humans who must take the blame and bear the financial cost of fixing it.

As I have shown, humans are NOT causing global warming. We in NZ in particular, do NOT need to “fix it.”
