What a contrast to the person presently in the White House. Reagan along with Gorbachev saw the huge danger of nuclear war, brought about an end to the Iron Curtain and the Cold War, eliminated a whole class of nuclear weapons and achieved a major reduction in stockpiles, and were committed to peace between the superpowers.

Reagan was also big into getting to the bottom of the Ufo’s they had flying around everywhere.
President JFK had set up secret direct line to moscow to deal with these UFO’S.
As Russia thought they were American secret tech, and the Americans thought it was the Russians secret tech.
JFK set this up so nuclear war could be averted through direct communication with Moscow.
One incident is very concerning, a UFO set of a nuclear fire sequence at a Russian ICBM site in 1962, the Russian officers had to scramble to turn it off.

I think that Reagan’s address to the UN Assembly was pitch perfect in terms of substance and delivery — and holds equally true today. Some interesting body language on display by some of the member present including David Lange. I have always felt that Ronald and Nancy Reagan’s presence and time in the White House was a dignified one. The same could not be said of some of their successors.
