Back in June we had hoped to carry out a dedication of our new panels , but were frustrated twice by weather and covid restrictions. Accordingly we decided to sit till now, by which time some basic landscaping could be done. November is in fat the 80th anniversary of the arrival of the 2nd Marine Division, who would stay for a year before departing to the Battle of Tarawa.
So … this will be it, rain or shine! We’d be delighted to see you if you would like to come. Remember, not the Mackay’s Crossing entrance, but through the village and north on Wellington Road.
Very best wishes to you.
I ponder why anyone would want to celebrate those americans, who have dominated and destroyed so many countries around the world.
Why were the yanks in NEW ZEALAND, eighty years ago, in the first place. Figure out.
Lets hope for very bad weather for the “celebration day” – storms, winds, and rising tides – only to stop a useless and irrelevant so-called-celebration-of-a-controlling-and-dictating-mobster-lot-who-continue-their-destruction-world-wide.
Get over the yanks – they are a spent force.
