Last night Tobias Ellwood, head of the British parliament’s defense committee, openly called for a direct head-on NATO-led war with Russia. This comes as Ukraine’s president Zelensky says they will not negotiate a peace settlement and demanded more weapons and aircraft, as he always does.
The British government obviously wants total war, although whether the British public do is a different matter. Because of their sanctions on Russia they have an energy crisis and are looking at using their reserve stocks of coal.
Where have we seen this before? And what was the consequence for the warmongers?
Take a trick out of the Putin playbook. Plant a few ‘Russian’ bombs around London. Bound to get the oh so intelligent public on board the war train.
The BBC at least has been a full scale propagandist for the narrative of Putin = bad, Zelensky = good — but whether it’s enough for the public to endure more privations than they are already is dubious. The Legacy media in the UK has the same problems that it does here, and it’s not like Ukraine where there is total government censorship.
