Oxymoron

–a self-contradicting word or group of words; a figure of speech that combines contradictory words with opposing meanings.

An example of an oxymoron is this government’s stating it will have an “independent regulator” for deciding what speech of the people to allow. A regulator is a function of government and cannot be independent of government.

(Although this government would call it a Mallard)

by Guy Hatchard

The UK Daily Mail led yesterday with a story about the heart attack suffered by Bronny James on the basketball court. According to two UK doctors described as leading experts and cited by the Mail, the suggestion that this might be the result of a vaccine injury is a conspiracy theory.

The article concedes that deaths from heart disease are at record levels and also concedes that Covid ‘vaccines’ cause heart damage, but stiffly maintains that those conflating these two facts are not only in error but are also engaged in a conspiracy to pervert truth and presumably justice. The BBC also chimes in with an article claiming piously, “there is no evidence to support the implication ‘vaccines’ might be involved”.

At the ‘heart’ of these claims is the suggestion that ‘vaccine’-induced myocarditis is rare, so rare that it could not possibly be causing the huge rate of excess deaths from heart disease which amounts, according to the British Heart Foundation, to a massive 30,000 extra UK deaths per year when compared to pre-‘pandemic’ levels.

At the same time as Bronny James was suffering a tragic heart attack and its aftermath, Swiss scientists finalised a scientific paper for publication entitled “Sex specific differences in myocardial injury incidence after Covid-19 mRNA-1273 booster vaccination”. This is a landmark study because it is a gold standard, carefully-planned, prospective study with a rigorous schedule of tests rather than an incomplete retrospective assessment of past events.777 health care workers were tested for myocardial damage three days after booster vaccination and compared to the same number of controls. 40 of them (1 in 20) had elevated troponin levels indicative of damage to cardiac cells. These people (65% of them women) were subject to follow up tests and 22 of them (1 in 35) were judged to have ‘vaccine’-induced myocardial injury. This careful study proves that myocardial injury has been massively underreported.

The Mail reports that the UK Government’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) had previously estimated a rate of just 1 in 666. Now known to be wrong by a factor of 20.

By no stretch of the imagination can myocardial injury be judged to be ‘extremely rare’ as the Mail suggests. Nor, according to this detailed discussion by Dr. John Campbell is this level of risk something any of us would consider taking on unless we faced imminent death as an alternative, which we don’t. For another discussion see this informative substack article.Fortunately, the short term effects among those tested in the Swiss study did not include severe outcomes, but another prospective study completed in 2022 in Thailand on 314 high school students did find such severe effects. It is well known that myocarditis has both short term and long term outcomes. The elevated rate of excess deaths from heart disease in the general population does point to the need to ask questions. Asking them publicly does not amount to a conspiracy. The dismissal of these claims suggests there is an attempt to cover up on the part of the same doctors who coerced us to take the jabs and told us they were effective and safe (they aren’t).

Other causal factors for the steep rise in excess deaths from heart disease suggested by the Mail include the rise in ambulance response times to cardiac incidents from 30 to 90 minutes. It is surely not too hard for the newspaper to realise that if there are more cardiac events there will be longer response times, not the other way around. Another suggestion widely touted until recently was a supposed failure to prescribe statins during the ‘pandemic’, this disappeared from newsprint pages when it was realised that statin prescriptions have actually not decreased.

If you want to know just how convoluted denial of responsibility can become, read a translation of an article from Sweden where a 30 year old man died after receiving a booster jab. The government paid his family financial compensation but listed the event as the result of a medicine given in error rather than suffer the embarrassment of calling it a ‘vaccine’ related death. A paper analysing autopsy results following Covid ‘vaccination’ underlines the intended obfuscation of this kind of doublespeak.

Behind this posturing and denial of responsibility lies something much darker with more chilling implications for public health. It is not just heart attacks that are up to levels never seen before. Ditto for cancers, kidney injury, neurological injury, strokes, miscarriages, menstrual irregularities, stillbirths, cognitive decline and crucially unexplained deaths.

These statistics point to the need for probing questions of a different type. Are the ‘vaccines’ or indeed Covid infection, which the balance of evidence now suggests both came from a biotech lab, causing generalised immune instability and more worryingly, how long is this going to go on, and how bad will it get?

Sometimes you find that you have to face up to extreme challenges in your personal life. Our responses to these crises define who we are and what we can become. This can require admitting to ourselves and others that we got it all wrong. Apology and humility build character and support honesty.

Crises can also engulf the whole of society. The casual dismissal of questions about vaccine safety shows we have arrived at just such a societal crisis. A crisis of health and truth whose dimensions appear to dwarf anything civilisation as a whole has had to face in our lifetimes. The beginnings of this crisis are no doubt lost in history, but the turning point came when some decision-makers in the pharmaceutical industry at the start of the ‘pandemic’ decided it would be safe to unleash biotechnology on the general public. We are just at the beginning of this era.

The WHO 2030 Agenda predicts that we will all be subject to hundreds of novel vaccines within the decade.

Biotechnology medicine was well known to be unsafe and inherently mutagenic pre-‘pandemic’. Crucially it wasn’t so much what we knew, but what we didn’t know that constituted the colossal error of judgement, hubris, cruelty and greed. A single cell, the origin of life, contains an uncountable 100 trillion atoms organised into 42 million protein molecules and twenty thousand genes. Scientists have only a vague picture of how cells work. They have no idea how cells produce consciousness, how cells join together (37.2 trillion of them) to form a single human identity with amazing autonomic functions and immunity.

What we thought they knew can only be described as a crude notion put together from a few isolated facts derived from a countable number of experiments. Scientists don’t understand how intra-cellular transport and selection is managed. They only have a hazy comprehension of the role of electric fields, molecular shape, vibrational modes, so-called dark areas of our genome and multi-gene cooperative functions.

What we do know for certain is the immense precision involved and the vulnerability to even very small edits to their structure. Cells work very hard to protect this precision, each one completes over 70,000 self-repairs every day. With this in mind, it becomes very apparent that those working in the field of gene therapy knew from previous failures and disasters just how potentially dangerous Covid ‘vaccines’ could be. Some did warn their superiors, who not only ignored them but set about telling the general public that that biotechnology was completely safe and near 100% infallible. This was a big lie, not to say the crime of the century.

As you no doubt know very well, once you have told one lie, it is very hard to avoid telling more lies which can eventually become a world of untruth that eats away at your conscience and peace.

This became the fate of society during the ‘pandemic’. No-one is participating more enthusiastically than the fourth estate. Every day, newspapers print articles claiming that excess deaths, which are running into millions worldwide, are normal or non-existent and have nothing to do with the obvious culprit.

Governments are looking the other way and piously washing their hands of the matter like Pontius Pilate, while medical authorities are busying themselves hiding the data and refusing to carry out tests and autopsies.

The new generation of biotech medicines are squarely aimed at editing the internal operation of cells, the control system that keeps our physiology and our life flying safely along. It shouldn’t be a surprise to learn that handicapping the pilot might crash the plane. The only surprise is that millions of crashed planes world wide are being ignored.

We are living in a very different world from the one we thought we inhabited. I hope we are not so daft that we stop asking questions on the advice of those manifestly profiting from the ‘pandemic’.

After reporting earlier that there have been 100,000 extra UK deaths from heart disease alone, the Mail concludes by claiming without evidence that the number of ‘vaccine’-related deaths pales in comparison to the estimated 230,000 deaths that Covid ‘inoculation’ has supposedly saved (??)—a figure widely disputed and believed to be wildly inflated. Even so 2 to 5 are not odds that I would accept if I had to put my life up as collateral, would you?

Articles like those today in the Daily Mail and the BBC, and there are many of them published every day, are not just bad journalism, they are part of an insidious push to promote drugs that are known to harm people. They are intended to quiet the concern of people worldwide who are waking up to their tragic side effects and complete ineffectiveness. The purpose is manifestly the inflation of the profits of a trillion dollar industry who has proved itself callous and criminal, unfit to dominate public health policy as they do through revolving doors between regulators and industry insiders and through obscene advertising expenditure and gifts to medical professionals.

remember the deadline for submissions on this government’s draconian Censorship plans is Monday

from David Cumin of the Free Speech Union

The Department of Internal Affairs has released proposals seeking significant content regulation for media and online platforms. We must push back to keep our internet and press free:

<Click here to use our simple three step tool to send make a submission to the DIA’s consultation process calling for these proposals to be dropped>

<Click here to sign our petition calling for all political parties to refuse to implement the DIA’s reforms>

This week, we released polling showing that only 25% of Kiwis know about the major censorship steps the Govt is planning. It’s hate speech law for the internet and stands to be the biggest reform of our digital speech rights ever. If Kiwis don’t know about it, they can’t have their voices heard (if you want to know more, read our briefing material here, or our submission to the Department of Internal Affairs).

Over 10,000 New Zealanders have submitted against these reforms. It’s a major issue and with their help we’ve taken a strong stand. But we need you to help make it stronger. Submissions are about to close, so please do it now.

<<Click here to submit against online censorship now in less than 5 minutes>>

Giving an unaccountable regulator the power to decide what content can be ‘shadow-banned’ is the definition of censorship by stealth. We’ve knocked back major attempts at silencing New Zealanders before. I’m confident, if you stand with us, we’ll do it again.

The New Zealand Free Speech Union is a registered trade union with a mission to fight for, protect, and expand New Zealanders’ rights to freedom of speech, of conscience, and of intellectual inquiry. We envision a flourishing New Zealand civil society that values and protects vigorous debate, dissenting ideas, and freedom of speech as cultural cornerstones.

As a trade union, we will promote members’ collective employment interests with a particular focus on the protection of their freedom of speech from employer interference. If you feel that your job could be placed in jeopardy because of thoughts or opinions you express in your private life, or if you simply want the reassurance of having the support of a community dedicated to defending free speech, then become a member today. Free speech is the bedrock on which all our other freedoms rest, yet it is currently in greater peril than at any time since the Second World War.

One of the wins of the trade union moment in the early 20th century was the 8-hour day, and the concept of employees not remaining servants to their masters once they’ve clocked off.

That is the principle we need to reestablish – to stop employers, or others, trying to get people fired for having so called ‘unacceptable’ or controversial views.

Helps us protect your rights to free speech by joining the push back. Becoming a founding member for just $50.

The Free Speech Union is a response to the rise of cancel culture and intolerance of free speech. We have unionised to fight the increasingly frequent instances of people suffering employment consequences for perfectly legitimate expressions of free speech.

  • The University of Canterbury dragged one of their academics through a lengthy disciplinary process for a paper critical of New Zealand Universities’ connections to the Chinese Government.
  • A high school teacher was doxed by a blogger and investigated by his employer for wearing a MAGA hat at an Auckland BLM rally.
  • An Auckland Transport staffer was harassed and intimidated on social media for a comment on a private Facebook group which was totally unrelated to their role at Auckland Transport.

Too often employers are trying to gag their employees — or impose restrictive political views on their employees — even outside of work hours under the guise of ‘diversity’, ‘tolerance’, ‘values’ or other ironic terms.

Whatever it takes, we will defend your right to speak freely, without fear of being punished. Become a founding member here.

If you think there’s a risk you’ll be penalised for exercising your legal right to free speech, whether it’s in the workplace or the public square, you need the protection of the Free Speech Union. Only with you – and with thousands like you – can we defend free speech.

Independent media outlets committed to truthful stories and not political propaganda are who this government has in its sights:

book review: ‘The Alien Cell Hypothesis’

29 Saturday Jul 2023

By Roger Childs

The exploration of just about everything

This is a bold and brave book. Kapiti writer Andy Oakley puts forward a theory on how life on Earth began, how it developed through to the present and how it has gone through phases of human flourishing and periods of decline.

The working title was TACHEE – The Alien Cell Hypothesis Exploration and Experimentation, and the last three words stress what should be happening for people today to achieve their potential. His examination covers the development of human existence world-wide, but understandably with a particular focus on New Zealand and its manifold present problems.

The remarkable Andy Oakley

Andy Oakley was brought up in a low income household in Cannon’s Creek and is now a company director living in Raumati Beach. As a young person he enjoyed the company of friends from various backgrounds at a time when race and ethnicity were not issues. He did get into trouble with the law and became a father at 16, however he later got a job in a steel fabricating business starting at the bottom and is now one of their top managers.

Later in life he became curious about history and read every book he could find on the country’s story.  He was mystified as to how the Maori elites had gained so much power, influence and wealth, and this led him to write two books: From Cannon’s Creek to Waitangi and Once We Were One. (Both are available from Tross Publishing.)

The fact that New Zealand has declined socially and economically in the early 21st century having had some of the highest living standards in the world and been one of the most successful economies in the 1950s and 1960s, is a development he comes back to a number of times in TACHEE.

What’s wrong with everyone?

This is the title of his first chapter and sets the scene for what is to come. A lot has to do with our politicians, the loss of democratic freedoms and general apathy about what is going on. As the author observes:

For too long, the West has been plagued by divisive identity politics and the erosion of individual freedom. Our politicians have failed us, replacing a humane economy with top-down control and authoritarianism. Amidst broken promises and anti-human rhetoric, the crisis runs deeper than any one political party’s failures.

In the 2020s, New Zealand is one of the worst case scenarios in a world where there are plenty of authoritarian regimes. Unfortunately many people, possibly the majority, are happy to accept the authoritarianism and being told what to do.

The sweep of the history of life on Earth

The author postulates that about 13.5 billion years ago the “alien cell” arrived from out in space and is now in all of us and other living things. He goes on to trace the impact of the alien cell on human development and emphasizes that the natural objective of humans is to use their consciousness through experimentation and exploration to turn potential into reality.

Using a technique known as ‘Big History’, in this book I have tried to offer a fresh perspective on the enigma of human existence. I explore the notion of purpose (telos) and dive into the profound question of what it truly means to be human, along with the potential of our ultimate destiny. I take the reader on a journey to unearth profound truths about ourselves, our relationship with the divine, and our significance in the world.

Along the way he covers a vast range of topics based on thorough research and his own experience.

  • The nature of consciousness.
  • Historical periods which have encouraged human flourishing, and other that have led to decline.
  • The importance of free will to explore and experiment, and the need for human activity to be generally free of restrictions.
  • The role of developing technology in human achievement.
  • The limitations of Darwinism, mysticism, neo-Marxism, a belief in a God and the concept of race.
  • Issues affecting New Zealand such as social problems, Maori tribalism, the one-size-fits-all programme of dealing with Covid, climate change, educational indoctrination and threats to freedom of speech. He also outlines what our government could do to promote positive human activity to allow people’s potential to become reality.
  • The lack of political understanding of the workings of an economy which should fundamentally work for people and not the other way round.
  • The role and mechanics of banking and the value of modern monetary theory.
  • What the New Zealand government needs to do encourage human flourishing/
  • Details on the academics and theories he quotes.

Fundamentally, he argues that we should all have a purpose in life and a philosophy that is useful, substantial and logical.  In The Alien Cell Hypothesis Andy Oakley covers a tremendous amount of ground on human evolution, development and the meaning of life. This is thought-provoking material which is very perceptive and thoroughly researched. Highly recommended.

they were warned, but they didn’t listen

by Cam Slater on theBFD

As predicted by many, the Police’s new profit-based Firearms Safety Authority has suffered a major privacy and security breach. The only thing no-one expected was that it occurred less than one month after the registers went live. So much for the much-vaunted “bank level security”:

The newly created Firearms Safety Authority has found themselves in the gun after another inadvertent leak of the details of Auckland firearms owners.

In an e-mail sent shortly after noon on Wednesday, seen by the Herald, Auckland Central Police District firearms staff emailed more than 100 gun owners to warn them their listed firearms licence address may not be up to date.

Their e-mail addresses, in many cases including their first and last names, were visible in the cc field, rather than hidden in the bcc section.

The visible addresses included various prominent Auckland residents, including lawyers, company directors, police officers and government officials.

The e-mail was sent from the Auckland City Police District’s firearms email address and signed NZ police, but also carried the signature and logo of the new Firearms Safety Authority, set up to administer the newly launched gun register.Asked whether it was police or the Firearms Safety Authority who sent the email, a police spokeswoman said it was the authority.

The sender attempted to recall the e-mail shortly after it was sent, and also sent a second email asking recipients to delete the message due to an “error in sending”.

In a statement, Superintendent Richard Wilson, Te Tari Pureke Firearms Safety Authority director of operations, confirmed it had sent the email to 147 recipients revealing the email address of the recipients to fellow licence holders.

“This incident is being treated seriously by Te Tari Pureke, who have lodged this as a privacy breach and will be notifying the Office of the Privacy Commissioner,” Wilson said.Wilson said it was not sent to any members of the wider public.

“A rapid review has determined that the privacy breach came about from human error when the email addresses were incorrectly pasted into the ‘cc’ (carbon copy) address field, rather than the ‘bcc’ (blind carbon copy) address field.” –NZ Herald

This is real amateur hour stuff and shows that Police and the newly minted Firearm Safety Authority have neither the required skills and discipline nor the information security ability to be in charge of anything more than the books at the local tiddlywinks club, much less looking after information security of the new gun register.

This is the second time the Auckland office has had a massive data breach and it appears Police have learned nothing from the last debacle.

It is real Keystone cops stuff: ‘Ummm, can we “unsend the e-mail?”, anyone…anyone?’. It would be funny if it weren’t just so damn dangerous.

The spokesperson blithely says the email “was not sent to any members of the wider public”, but cannot possibly know that to be the case, especially when it has traversed multiple e-mail servers, multiple routers and been viewed by God knows how many people. The recipients, or a recipient could have forwarded it. There is simply no way of knowing just how far that email spread.

But the Police will just dig in and pretend it isn’t that bad and carry on building the gangs’ shopping list in the gun register.

Police loftily exclaimed that they’d been gifted the Maori name for the Authority and it is emblazoned everywhere, but perhaps it might have been better to spend the koha that facilitated the “gift” on a basic remedial e-mail and information security course for their incompetent staff.

As a footnote, this Radio NZ article states that Jacinda’s gun grab during the 2021 financial year cost more to run than was paid to gun-owners forced to surrender what they owned. “Just over $2.4m was paid out to gun owners who handed in their firearms as part of the buyback, while the total cost of the scheme was $6.2m.”

TV1 proclaims ‘it’s no longer Global Warming, it’s Global Boiling’ — oh yeah?

28 Friday Jul 2023

Tonight after repeating the UN boss António Guterres’s belief that everyone, everywhere all at once is now boiling hot, TV1 news presenter Simon Dallow crossed to a reporter in Wellington: “what’s it like there?” The reporter reminded him it is the middle of winter (the temperature at the time was 9C). but despite that, “we’re going to have the hottest year ever.” Hmm.

Then there was a claim that Antarctic ice has suddenly become dramatically thinner, accompanied by pictures clearly taken in high summer — at the moment it’s mid-winter and completely dark all the time. Hmm.

Here are some of the actual maximum temperatures recorded yesterday around Europe:

Dublin: — 21C

London: — 23C

Paris: — 25C

Brussels: — 23C

Berlin: — 23C

Copenhagen: — 22C

Warsaw: — 21C

Minsk: — 22C

Vilnius: — 23C

Moscow: — 24C

Kiev: — 24C

Prague: –24C

Geneva: — 29C

Vienna: — 29C

Barcelona: — 30C

Lisbon: — 28C

Rome: — 32C

Palermo: — 33C

Athens: — 33C

None of those temperatures deserve António Guterres’s alarmist description; in fact they all look pretty normal for European summer.

Hmm.

Some of America — but far from all of it — has been experiencing a heat wave this month, mainly the the U.S. Southwest as yet another heat dome entrenches itself over the southern tier of the country and Mexico. Whether this is abberant or part of a trend, including super cold winters, is too early to draw any conclusions on, but the higher temperatures are only 1 or 2 degs Celcius above what is typical. Hmm.
