Sydney has been suffering from quite heavy smoke blanketing the city from neighbouring forest burnoffs.

Citizens have been told not to wear their covid masks to filter out the smoke, as the weave of the mask has to be “open” enough to allow comfortable breathing, and smoke particles can go straight through.

Smoke particles are 10 microns diameter, and can go through ‘unimpeded’.

But viruses are much smaller than that — only 0.5 to 1.5 microns in diameter!! So how useful are those flimsy pieces of fabric?!

These figures were published in the newspaper in Sydney while I was there last week.

Psychologists say that to control people, get them to cover their faces and they will lose their sense of identity – that makes them easy to control.
