According to the Stuffers:
- An elite matchmaking service run by top NZ business woman Theresa Gattung has signed up more women than men.
- Some members had one date since paying to join, with membership fees up to $6,000 per year.
- Gattung says men might have been slower to join, but “it’s growing”, expanding into Wellington.
‘Some women who have handed over cash to Theresa Gattung’s new elite matchmaking service, Compatico, told Stuff they had not had one match yet, and asked if this was because there were not enough men to go around.
‘A group of us haven’t had even one match since joining, and are questioning whether it’s because there are not enough men,” said one romantic hopeful, who Stuff agreed not to name.
‘The Compatico member told Stuff she had not heard from the company since joining several months ago until Monday, when members received an emailed “newsletter”.’
Some will remember Theresa Gattung when she was paid about $7 million a year to run (many say ruin} Telecom NZ, which, after she left, she described as a ‘train wreck’, although she did not seem to consider herself responsible for that… —Eds
