By executive order on day one of President Trump’s term on US maps the Gulf of Mexico is renamed The Gulf of America. Many printed maps can’t be changed like a digital map can, so those who want to can make the changes suggested. Leaving out the initial A in the name America is the humorous suggestion of how rednecks pronounce it.
AH I did wonder if that was what you meant. I lived in “red neck” country for 11 years and would respectfully suggest that if you really want to spell it how rednecks pronounce it, it should be “‘Muraca” that’s how my wife would say it and she speaks “‘Muracan” as I now can do being bilingual
