Eva and Geoffrey had a quick look at the stalls yesterday and were impressed with the number of them — Age Concern and KCDC had managed to contact and arrange for just about every organisation that seniors are likely to want to use — from Bridge to Citizens Advice Bureau to Probus and some government like ACC.

Waikanae has a high median age of 55 according to the Stats NZ 2023 census and even though that has fallen in the last couple of decades because of all the new housing, it’s still significantly higher than the national median age of 39.
