In Czechia or the Czech Republic the new government of Prime Minister Andrej Babis has been sworn in. It consists of populist, right wing parties that are Eurosceptic or pro-Russian. Babis has said, among other things, that he will end all aid to Ukraine that was provided by the previous pro-European government.

The new government was installed by President Petr Pavel. He had previously expressed concern that the government’s arrival could worsen relations with the EU and NATO, and he raised this concern again with Babis during the ceremony.
