Thank you to all of you who made it to last Sunday’s drop-in session at the Waikanae Beach Hall. The response was very positive and the feedback really useful.

We’re offering another opportunity for people to attend a drop-in session. This time, we’re holding it 5.30 to 7.30 pm, on Tuesday 22 September at the Waikanae Boating Club. Thank you to the Boating Club for supporting this work. We hope by providing an early evening week-day option this will enable some residents who couldn’t make the first session or can’t make weekend meetings to attend.

The format will be identical to last Sunday’s session. Once again, we want people to contribute their ideas on issues affecting Waikanae Beach and their aspirations for the Beach.

We’d like to hear about:
• what people think the issues are for Waikanae Beach’s future
• what people value about Waikanae Beach
• what information people think they might need to be able to contribute to developing options for the future.

Could you please spread the word about this drop-in to your neighbours and through your networks? Let them know any length of time they can attend is good, whether it be 10 minutes or two hours. If you want to come again, you’re very welcome of course.

Since the drop-in session on Sunday, we’ve been distilling and summarising the feedback we received. We’ll circulate some preliminary material to you soon for your comment and feedback.

We’re also working on setting up an online forum so those who can’t get to our drop-in sessions also have a chance to provide input. That should be up and running in about a month.
