This took place on a day with intermittent precipitation, but that didn’t seem to diminish the turnout.
The stars were newcomers to Paraparaumu, Air Chathams, who begin flying from Paraparaumu to Auckland on the 20th, but it’s pertinent to mention that Air NZ wasn’t the only commercial operator at Paraparaumu: Sounds Air and Kapiti Heliworx have been there for some time.
OriginAir also had two of its British Aerospace Jetstream 31 / 32 aircraft (top pics) there although it doesn’t have a scheduled service to/from Paraparaumu.
The Air Chathams DC-3 was providing sightseeing flights to somewhere, and Kapiti Heliworx was offering sightseeing over the Transmission Gully works.
It seems Air Chathams’s flights to Auckland are well booked already, and we wish them success.
