Kapiti Coast chess players will be excited that New Zealand’s top two chess players will be in Kapiti Tuesday 9 April, according to Gordon Lyall, President of Kapiti Chess Club.
Kapiti Chess Club is hosting International Chess Masters Russell Dive and Anthony Ker next Tuesday, 9 April. They are the current joint New Zealand chess champions. Anthony has been New Zealand Champion 14 times and Russell 6 times. The presentation on Tuesday evening will feature analysis of favourite games from their experiences at the 2018 Chess Olympiad. This is a great opportunity to learn and be inspired by two of New Zealand’s best players.
The event is being hosted by Kapiti Chess Club, at their Club Room, Salvation Army (lower) Hall, Bluegum Rd, Paraparaumu. The event starts at 7.30 pm and is “free for all chess enthusiasts and anyone interesting in learning more about chess.”
