Back in 2020, Radio NZ itself reported that trust in politicians and journalists was low, with only 22 percent of New Zealanders giving politicians the thumbs up in recent polls: “the latest survey showed they were still the least trusted group.” There are naturally some exceptions, but as a collective group…

Not much better: Only 35 percent of people surveyed had trust in people who work for the government.
