We gather the public seating in Waikanae mentioned was the Friendship Seat in Mahara Place which the Destination Waikanae blog mentioned recently.

This was one of the issues that we campaigned on in last year’s by-elections and in our Long Term Plan submission, proposing that security cameras should be placed in key areas, Mahara Place being one of them.  But has anything been done since?
